A DISTRICT - Man charged with vehicle hijacking

Officers from the car hi-jacking taskforce, yesterday (Tuesday 21 February) arrested and subsequently charged a 19 year old male with attempted hijacking, theft, criminal damage, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
The individual is scheduled to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court, today (Wednesday 22 February).
The arrest is in connection with the attempted hijacking at Hopewell Place, North Belfast on 12 January 2012.
