A DISTRICT: Aggravated burglary, Easton Crescent, North Belfast

Detectives in North Belfast are appealing for information after a report of an aggravated burglary at residential premises in the Easton Crescent area on Monday 9 July.At around 9:40pm, it was reported that a 68 year old female was in a house in the area when a man rang the door and forced his way inside. The man is believed to have threatened the female occupant with a knife, but the female managed to escape. The male did not take anything during the incident and it is not clear as to the direction he made off towards.
The male is described as between 15 and 17 years old, approximately 5ft 7 in height, slim build, pale complexion, dark hair with fringe, dark eyes possibly brown, wearing a black hooded waterproof top with the hood pulled up. The male also wore black trousers and black slip on shoes. The male was holding a wooden handled knife with silver blade as he ran away.
