B DISTRICT: Street robbery Chichester Street, Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information following a street robbery in the Chichester Street area of Belfast last night, Friday 07 March.

At around 9.30pm a 32 year old man was walking along Chichester Street close to the junction of Callender Street when he was approached by an unknown male. This male produced a knife and threatened the man demanding his mobile phone. He handed over the phone and the male made off along Callender Street in the direction of Castle Lane. The man was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as being aged approximately 18-19 years old, 5'6" tall, of slim build with short dark hair. He had a scruffy look and was wearing a grey sports rain coat, jeans and black woollen gloves.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
