Burglary, Cregagh Road, Belfast

Detectives in East Belfast are appealing for information following a burglary in the Cregagh Road area on Thursday 4 March.

At approximately 9:30pm, two males entered a property in the area.  One of the males stayed with the female resident of the house while the other went upstairs to the bedroom.  Entry was gained to a safe in the bedroom and a number of items of jewellery were taken including rings, a bracelet and a locket.  Cash and a White Star Line silver teapot were also taken.

The female was not injured but was left quite shaken by her ordeal.

Detectives are investigating and would appeal to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed any suspicious activity or who has any other information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.  Alternatively, information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
