D DISTRICT - Drugs seizure and arrests, Carrickfergus

Detectives from PSNIs Organised Crime Branch have seized in excess of £600K of cannabis and have arrested 6 men in the Carrickfergus area today, Thursday 9th August.
The 6 men aged 65, 49, 48, 41, 32 and 32 are currently assisting Police with enquiries at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.
D/Chief Inspector Todd Clements said: This is the latest example of Police determination to reduce the threat posed by drugs to communities in Northern Ireland and to apprehend those individuals who seek to make profits from a trade in illegal drugs.
