Distraction burglary, West Belfast

Detectives in West Belfast are appealing for information about a distraction burglary in West Belfast.

Shortly before 7.20pm on Thursday 6 January it was reported that a man had called at the door of a woman aged in her 80s at Whiterock Gardens.

The main claimed he was from the Water Service and convinced the householder to allow him to check a bathroom tap.

When the man had left the woman noticed that a sum of money was missing.
