Explosion charge, Newry

A 51 year old man arrested by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch in the Dunmurry area of Lisburn, County Antrim, on Monday 24 May has been charged with causing an explosion likely to endanger life or damage property.

He is expected to appear at Newry Magistrates court on Wednesday 26 May.

As is usual procedure the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charge is in relation to a bomb explosion at Newry Courthouse on Monday 22 February.
