G DISTRICT Burglary New Buildings Industrial Estate Londonderry

Detectives in Strand Road are appealing for information following several burglaries and criminal damage at an industrial estate in the New Buildings area of Londonderry.

At approximately 9.20am today, Sunday, 8 January, it was reported that damage had been caused to BT cables connected to premises alarms at the entrance to this industrial estate. Approximately £1,000 worth of damage was caused.

At approximately 9.50am, today, Sunday, 8 January it was reported that premises within the industrial estate had been broken into sometime between 5.00pm on Saturday 7 January and 9.30am on Sunday, 8 January.

Approximately 14 boat propellors, measuring from 24" to 60" & with approximate value between £45,000 and £50,000 , were stolen from premises.

At approximately 11.25am today, Sunday, 8 January it was reported that premises within the industrial estate had been broken into overnight (07 Jan/08 Jan) and a grass tracking motor bike, value not known, an IFor Williams black horse box, Model HB 511, valued at approximately £6,000 and a white VW Crafter van, with the words "Doherty's insulation services" stencilled on the side and rear, Registration P16 PJD, valued at approximately £15,000 were stolen.
