Firearm Variation
We will need to know:
- Where you got the firearm, such as firearms dealer, other firearm certificate holder, etc.
- What will happen to the firearm being disposed.
If you get the new firearm from another firearm certificate holder then send this along with Form 30/1:
- A letter of authority.
- The seller’s firearm certificate completed.
There is a £10 fee for a variation involving the substitution of a firearm for one of a similar calibre or type. All other variations cost £26.
You can make a variation to your certificate at the time of re-grant without any additional charge.
One-on / One-off Similar Type Shotgun Variation by a Dealer
Firearms dealers are permitted to vary a certificate by substituting a shotgun for another shotgun already held.
Use Form 30/35 and notify us within 72 hours of the transaction.
There is no fee for this type of transfer.
