This group meet monthly at St Mary's Church Dundonald, The Elner Centre and the Hanwood Centre Tullycarnet. Police attend and issues regarding Anti social behaviour and local crime issues are discussed.  Crime Prevention advice is also available.  At a recent meeting we discussed the benefits and value of a Neighbourhood Watch scheme for these members  If you wish to attend a meeting you will be made very welcome.  If you require details of the next meeting please contact one of your Neighbourhood Policing team on the above mobile telephone numbers.

We Did

BurglaryTargeted high visibility foot and mobile patrols to identified hotspot areas. Interested parties were informed via quarterly briefings to the District Policing Partnership and local press releases  We created a new Neighbourhood Watch Scheme for elderly residents at a local Fold.


Lead / Copper Thefts

We visited local churches and building sites offering crime prevention advice and distributed leaflets  - see above to view leaflet.

Anti-social Behaviour

Street Drinking /Graffiti  issues at Galway Park area

Targeted high visibility patrols of hotspot areas to prevent detect and provide reassurance. Crime prevention advice was circulated through the District Policing Partnership, Community Associations and local press releases

At a recent meeting with local residents, concerns regarding graffiti and street drinking in the Galway Park area were raised.  Neighbourhood Police Officers visited a number of residents and discussed their concerns.  The Police officers implemented a new  high visibility patrol pattern to this area ensuring police where there at the right times to provide protection and reassurance to the local community.  Police liaised with local residents and kept them updated on the success of this operation.
