Down
Chief Inspector Deirdre Bones is the Area Commander for Down.

Chief Inspector Bones has almost 20 years service. Prior to arriving in the District she was staff officer to the former Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde. Chief Inspector Bones is delighted to be the Area Commander for Down and is looking forward to building on the partnerships already established throughout the District. She hopes to work with all members of the community to make Down a safer place to live and work. Neighbourhood policing is at the forefront of policing in the Down area and Chief Inspector Bones wishes to ensure that its delivery is personal, highly visible and tailored to the needs of the local community.
