Deputy Head of Training and Development and Head of Operational Programmes
Chief Superintendent Kevin Dunwoody is Deputy Head of Training and Development and Head of Operational Programmes. He is responsible for all operational training, including initial student officer, firearms, public order, driving, leadership and detective development.
Learning Support
Philip Smith heads the Learning Support function which includes all service departments from Finance, Personnel, Human Rights, Quality Assurance & Evaluation, College Administration, Academic Development and Registration, Facilities, Trainer Development, Local Training right through to the Library and E-learning.
Foundation Programmes
Chief Inspector Sam Donaldson is the head of Foundation Programmes and has responsibility for training student officers and probationers.
Strategic Development
Chief Inspector Reid heads Strategic Development and leads on organisational consultation. He is also responsible for determining the Service’s training needs for the next three years.
Crime Training
Responsible for CID and investigative training within the PSNI, Detective Chief Inspector Dornan was previously a Senior Investigating Officer in Crime Operations.
Combined Operational Training
Chief Inspector Ken Cameron oversees Firearms Training, Public Order Training, Search Training, Traffic and Driver Training, First Aid Training, Dog Training, CBRN Training and Tactical Training at six locations.
