Concern about antisocial behaviour in your area

A local School Principal reported that local youths were coming onto school property during the evenings. Neighbourhood officers increased their patrols of the area and gave “School watch” leaflets to local residents with their contact details attached. The residents will keep an eye on the School and contact Police if they see any youths on the property.

Residents had reported anti-social behaviour in the Churchview area of Lawerencetown and car park of the Linen Tearooms area of Gilford. Neighbourhood Officers performed focused patrolling in both areas over a prolonged period and liaised with the local residents that were being affected by this behaviour.  As a result of this, complaints re anti-social behaviour in both areas have been reduced.

Concern about road safety in your areaThere were problems with parking outside the Primary Schools on the Castle Hill, Gilford, at collection times which was deemed as possible danger to children leaving the schools. Neighbourhood Officers patrolled the areas at collection times and liaised with staff from the schools which resulted in the reduction of complaints.
