ASB & BullyingIn partnership with primary and secondary education establishments Magherafelt NPT presented a series of workshops/talks on antisocial behaviour and bullying. Specifically highlighting the increasing prevalance of cyber bullying and also discussing safe use of the internet, mobile phones and social media technology.

Community relationsMagherafelt NPT continue to fund and support projects devoted to bring communities together. This has recently included facilitating an educational 'political tour' of Belfast interfaces, which served to build relations between residents of  three local Neighbourhood Watch Schemes. Magherafelt NPT have recently provided funding for the continuation of the 'games on the green' project and also for families of a local housing estate to participate in a cross community trip.

Neighbourhood WatchMagherafelt NPT are delighted to have facilitated the recent establishment of the Glenburn Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Tackling Rural CrimeIn February and March of 2012 Magherafelt Neighbourhood Policing Team continued their roll out of the local trailer marking scheme. During these events local members of the public could attend to have their trailers uniquely marked and stamped. Attendees were also able to avail of relevant crime prevention advice and discuss issues with local officers. These events are organised by police to increase awareness, especially among the farming community, of how to secure their property and tackle crime. Further trailer marking events are now being planned, to find out more please contact a member of the team or the local Crime Prevention Officer on 0845 600 8000 Ext. 63781/40469
