H District Community Safety
Each District has a dedicated Community Safety team. These officers develop and promote local initiatives to help make Northern Ireland safer by enhancing the relationship between police and all sections of the community.
Time to reflect on road safety - urge police
To be safe as a road user you have to be seen and this applies particularly to children as they make their way to and from school. With the return of the darker evenings, officers of the PSNI’s Roads Policing Unit for H District which includes Ballymena Coleraine, Ballymoney, Moyle and Larne are eager to ensure pedestrians stay safe this winter. Work experience, Larne
In February, ten year 13 and 14 pupils from Larne Grammar School chose the PSNI as the place for their practical 'work experience'. Accompanied throughout by Constable Davy Hill, the students saw the diverse nature of policing through a variety of training sessions at Larne, Glenarm, Antrim and Garnerville police stations. One of the students commented: "I was thinking about a career in the police and this has made my mind up. I really want to join."

Youth diversion
The Larne Youth Forum is a very successful collaboration between the PSNI’s Youth Diversion Officer (YDO) and other statutory agencies, including Youth Justice, Education, Social Services, and the Probation Board for Northern Ireland. Read the full story>>
