Youth Diversion

The Larne Youth Forum is a very successful collaboration between the PSNI’s Youth Diversion Officer (YDO) and other statutory agencies, including Youth Justice, Education, Social Services, and the Probation Board for Northern Ireland.

The Forum considers young people who come to notice of police, risk assesses and provides safety planning.  Constable Keith Cooke, is the police representative for the Larne forum.  A further development has seen the introduction of a priority young offenders programme being set up within the Youth Justice Agency.

Constable Cooke is the sole H District representative and is providing an excellent commitment for Larne.
