Police and Communities Together meeting - Larne Lough Locality Group 29th November 2011.

We Did

6 Month Plan

Concerns were raised about the level of rural crime.

Two Rural Crime Prevention advice initiatives were launched: Millbrook in December 2011 and in Carnlough March 2012.  Agricultural Equipment and Trailer Marking schemes took place with additional advice and product demonstrations provided by Professional and Statutory agencies.

Police have distributed crime prevention leaflets to a number of homes in the area and continue to do so.  Posters promoting Neighbourhood officers will patrol rural areas during the hours of darkness in an effot to disrupt, detect and deter criminals.

Two Neighbourhood Watch Schemes have been developed

  • Ballynure Rural
  • Gleno Village
