Assault, Newry, Co Down

Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted outside her home in the Benagh Road area of Newry on Friday 2 January.
She went outside just before 11pm and is believed to have disturbed two people who then assaulted her. She was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm. The two people are thought to have made off across fields opposite the property.
Police in Newry would like to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area that evening or who has any information about the incident. The number to ring is 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information may be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
