Serious Assault, Ballynahinch

Detectives are investigating a serious assault in Ballynahinch.

Shortly after 4am on Sunday 11 January, it was reported that an 18-years-old male had been stabbed a number of times in a house at Windmill Park.

He was taken to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are working to establish if the incident is connected to a number of incidents in Windmill Gardens and Windmill Park on Saturday 10 January.

A number of reports were received at around 9.20pm reporting that a group of young people, at least one armed with a baseball bat, had smashed the windows of property including three houses, three cars and a van. It was also reported that they had tried to enter a number of houses.

Three females, aged 20, 35 and 17, and one male aged 23 have been arrested and are currently helping police with their enquiries into the serious assault..
