Attempted Hijacking, Larne, Co Antrim

Police in Larne are appealing for information following an attempted hijacking in the Olderfleet Road area of the town.
The incident took place at around 5.45am on Monday 16 January.
A male wearing a blue and white striped hooded top threatened a 20 year old woman, who was in her black Peugeot 206 car. The male punched the victim a number of times in the face, and dragged her from the car. A struggle ensued and the male then ran off in the direction of nearby Lodge Road.
The victim sustained facial injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have noticed three males wearing dark clothing and hooded tops that are understood to have been in the area of the Harbour car park shortly before the incident.
