Aggravated burglary, Lisburn Avenue

Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary on Saturday evening (24 January).
At around 9pm 4 males entered a house at Lisburn Avenue by forcing first a yard door and then the back door. There they confronted the female occupant before forcing the male occupant from his bedroom into the living room. While one of the intruders who is described as having an English accent, held the couple in their living room the other 3 spent up to 30 minutes ransacking the house.
Demands were made for both cash and drugs before all 4 fled with a sum of cash from the woman's purse.
All 4 are described as being in their early twenties, were wearing dark coloured tops, gloves and scarves covering their faces.
The couple were left badly shaken.
