Paramilitary style shooting, Lurgan

Police in Lurgan are appealing for witnesses following a paramilitary style shooting in the Meadbrook area last night (Saturday 24 January).
Around 8:00pm an 18-year-old man returned home to find a group of unknown males waiting for him. They assaulted him with Hurley sticks and he also received a gunshot wound to his right leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the attack or who has any information is asked to contact police at Lurgan on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
