Burglary, Malton Drive, South Belfast

Detectives in South Belfast are appealing for information following a burglary in the Malton Drive area last night, (Thursday 26 March).
Shortly before 9.30pm four males forced their way into a house. The men grabbed the female occupant and snatched a panic alarm from round her neck and smashed it. One male held the occupant while the others checked the rest of the house. The men made off with a sum of cash.
One of the males is described as being 20-30 years old, of medium build with a flat nose, long, thin face, clean shaven and was wearing a red and white ski type hat with a pom pom on top and plaits down each side and a dark jacket with the collar turned up. The other males were wearing dark jackets.
It is thought the men made off in the direction of Malton Vale.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident or has information relating to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
Guidance: The female occupant is 84 years old.
