Murder Massereene Barracks Murder Charges

A 41-year-old man has been charged with 8 offences, that is-2 counts of murder, 5 counts of attempted murders and 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
He appeared at Larne Magistrates court this morning (Friday 27 March).
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
For you guidance it is understood the charges are in connection with the murder of two soldiers and the attempted murder of five other individuals at Massereene Barracks in Antrim on Saturday 7 March 2009.
