Armed Robbery, Lisburn

Detectives investigating an armed robbery close to the Sloan Street area of Lisburn last night (Monday 16 March) are appealing for information.
Shortly after 8:00pm three men armed with a knife entered the home of an elderly lady, cut the telephone wire and ransacked her house. They threatened the 71 year old with the knife before making off with a sum of money. The lady received a small cut to her forearm and was extremely shaken by her ordeal.
Anyone who witnessed any activity in the area last night or who has any information about these cowardly and contemptible thieves is asked to contact police at Lisburn CID on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
