Attempted Hijacking, Hillhall Road, Lisburn

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following an attempted hijacking of a vehicle on the Hillhall road at the Largymore Link junction shortly after 10:00pm last night (Wed 4 March).
A 25-year-old woman had stopped at traffic lights in her Black BMW car when a man approached her and tried to take her car. The lady managed to push him back and kick out at him, screaming and shouting. By this stage a number of people had stopped to help and the man ran off down Largymore Link in the direction of the Saintfield roundabout.
The attempted hijacker is described as 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a dark beannie hat with white stripes, a white hoodie, and jeans.
