Shots Fired, Cooke Street, South Belfast

Detectives from South Belfast are appealing for information following an assault and shots fired in the area of Cooke Street last night (Tuesday 17 March).
Around 9:00pm a young man received a head injury when he was hit with a bat during an altercation at a licensed premises on the Ormeau Road. He left the premises and made his way home.
Around 11:00pm it is believed two shots were fired at his car, a black Volkswagen Golf, shattering the windows. No one was in the vehicle at the time and no one was injured. The culprits appear to have arrived in a silver coloured Mitsubishi and following the incident one of the males made off on foot in the direction of Shaftesbury Avenue.
