Assault, West Belfast

Police are appealing for information following a serious assault in West Belfast on the morning of Friday 24 April. The incident is believed to have taken place around 2.30am in the Mount Alverno area of the Springfield Road, where emergency services responded to reports of a male who had suffered serious head injuries. The 19-year-old old man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable. Police are working to establish a motive for the attack.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Mount Alverno area in the early hours of Friday or anyone who may have any information, which could identify those responsible.
