Armed Robbery, convenience store, Ormeau Road, South Belfast

Detectives in South Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Ormeau Road area on Tuesday, 21 April.

At approximately 9.13pm two males entered a shop and made their way to the tills. The two males, who had firearms in their possession, demanded that the till be opened. The men took a sum of cash and made off in the direction of Knockbreda Park.

Both men wore white, latex gloves. The first male is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of slim to medium build and was wearing a grey hoodie, a black waist length jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.

The second male is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of slim to medium build and was wearing a black waist length jacket, black balaclava, blue jeans and white and dark coloured shoes.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident or has information relating to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
