Assault, Gaol Square, Armagh

Detectives in Armagh are appealing for information following an assault in the Gaol Square area.
Around 1.30am on Sunday morning, 12 April, a 44 year old man was assaulted. He sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is described as serious.
It is thought that a minibus taxi was in the area at the time of the assault and police are appealing to the driver to contact them to assist with their enquiries. They are also keen to hear from anyone else who was in the area and witnessed the assault or has information relating to it.
