Assault, Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information following an incident during which an 18 year old male was struck in the face with a broken bottle in Belfast city centre during the early hours of Tuesday 14th April.

Initial enquiries suggest that the man was in a taxi in the area of St George's Market at around 12.30am when a group of youths approached the vehicle. It is believed that one of these youths attempted to pulled the victim from the car and another struck him in the face with a broken bottle.

The victim sustained a number of injuries to his face, mouth and ear.

One of the males is described as around 5' 2" in height with black hair and a piercing to his left ear. He was wearing a grey tracksuit with green stripes on both arms.
