Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Garron Road, Carnlough

A male motorcyclist has died following the serious Road Traffic Collision involving two motorcycles on the Garron Road between Carnlough and Larne around 2:20pm this afternoon (Sunday 19 April).
The other vehicle involved was a police motorcycle and the police officer has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening at this stage.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information to contact them at Larne on 0845 600 8000.
The Police Ombudsman has been informed and is attending the scene.

It is believed that the incident occurred as police escorted other motorcyclists to an event along the North Coast.
