Pedestrian injured, East Strand, Portrush

Police are appealing for witnesses to a number of incidents in Portrush and Bushmills.

Shortly before 7.15pm Wednesday evening, 22 April, police received a report that a male pedestrian had been injured as a result of an incident involving a silver Mazda car at East Strand, Portrush.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

It was reported a short time later that a car had struck a vehicle at Eglinton Street, Portrush. A report was then received shortly after 7.50pm that a car had left the road at Priestland Road, Ballytober, outside Bushmills.

Police are treating the incidents as connected.

A man in his 30s was arrested at Priestland Road and is assisting police with their enquiries.
