Armed Robbery, Strabane

Detectives in Strabane are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a newsagents shop in the Meetinghouse Street area of the town on the morning of Saturday 15 August.

At around 8.30am, a male wearing a black hat and balaclava and armed with a small knife, entered the shop and demanded money from staff.  The robber, thought to be around 6 feet tall and of medium build, made off on foot with an amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The robber was wearing a grey hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms, and detectives are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have noticed a male of similar description, to come forward.  Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact CID at Strabane on 0845 600 8000, or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
