Man charged with Kidnapping and Blackmail, Omagh

A man in his 40's was charged with: blackmail, kidnapping, false imprisonment, threats to kill, AOABH, taking and driving away, theft and attempted intimidation.
He was expected to appear at Dungannon Magistrate's Court on Wednesday 26 August.
As is normal procedure the charges are subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.
It is understood that the harges relate to an incident in Eskragh, outside Omagh, on Saturday 25th July when it was reported that a group of men had entered a house, forced a man into a car and assaulted him before he made his escape.
A woman aged in her 20's was released pending further enquiries.
