Masked intruders enter family home, Strabane

Police are appealing for information following an incident in Strabane last night, Monday 17 August.

At approximately midnight it was reported a large number of masked men had entered a property at Springhill Park.

These men, who are believed to have been armed with a variety of weapons including hurley sticks, bats, and possibly a handgun, caused significant damage to the property and threatened the seven occupants.

The family who live at this property were not hurt however they were badly shaken by the ordeal.

Officers investigating this incident are working to establish a motive and would appeal for anyone who was in the area or anyone with any other information to come forward.
