Car hijacked, Newry

Detectives in Newry, County Down, are appealing for information about a hijacking incident.
Shortly before 6pm on Saturday 29th August it was reported that the female driver of a green BMW 328 Coupe car, manufactured in 2000, had stopped her car in traffic at Patrick Street close to the leisure centre when it was struck from behind by a brown or red Ford Escort estate car with two male occupants.
When the woman stepped out of her car to speak to the driver of the Ford he pushed past her and, after striking her a number of times during a struggle, drive the BMW away.
This male is described as around 6ft tall, with swarthy skin. He was wearing a light, striped jumper and jeans.
A second male drove the Ford car away.
The woman, who is aged in her 20s, was not injured.
