Robbery, Ardglass, County Down

Detectives in Downpatrick are appealing for information following a robbery at licensed premises on Bath Street in Ardglass that occurred at around 11pm on Friday 14 August.

One male entered the premises as a female staff member was closing up.  The robber, who is believed to have a Belfast accent, struck the female twice on the face and made off with a sum of cash and quantity of cigarettes.

The victim sustained swelling and bruising to her face.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Bath Street area between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Friday night to come forward.  Anyone with any information can contact CID at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000, or information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
