Serious Assault, Castlewellan, County Down

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Castlewellan during the early hours of Sunday 23 August.
At approximately 3am, police received a report of an altercation in the Lower Square area.
Three males in their late teens were taken to hospital as a result of the incident. One of these males, a 19 year old is described as being in a serious condition with head injuries. The two other males have head and facial injuries which are not believed to be serious.
