Shooting incident Derry

Detectives in Derry are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Hollymount Park area of the city on the evening of Wednesday 19 August.
Shortly after 11pm, a number of shots were fired through the front window of a house in Hollymount. One 26-year-old man sustained a gun shot wound to his leg and is currently being treated in the hospital where he condition is not thought to be life threatening at this time. Another 22-year-old man was also present in the house at the time, but was not injured.
Detectives are investigating a motive for the shooting and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Hollymount Park area late on Wednesday evening and may have witnessed the attack.
