Fatal road traffic collision, Ballybogey Road, Coleraine

A young man has died following a fatal road tarffic collision involving a Renault Clio and a police car on the Ballybogey Road Coleraine around 4:00am this morning (Thursday 10 December). A 29 year old man has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not described as life threatening at this stage. The Ballybogey Road remains closed and diversions are in place.
The matter has been referred to the Ombudsman Office.
