Female approached and threatened, Lower Crescent, South Belfast

Police in South Belfast are appealing for information following an incident in the Lower Crescent area.

At approximately 12.10am on Thursday, 3 December, a 19 year old female was approached by a male who put a knife to her ribs and threatened her.  The male was startled by another person and made off towards Bradbury Place.

The male is described as being aged in his late 30s, 5ft 7in tall and was wearing a light brown jacket, a brown and beige striped top and blue jeans.

The female did not sustain any injuries but was left shaken by her ordeal.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed this incident or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.  Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
