Theft of ATM machine, Templepatrick

Detectives in Newtownabbey are investigating the theft of an ATM machine from the wall of a filling station at Templepatrick village.  The incident was reported shortly before 3.00am this morning (Friday 11 December).

A digger with a telescopic arm was used to remove the machine from the wall causing substantial damage to the building in the process.  Police believe that the thieves made off with the ATM along the Lylehill Road.  The digger, a red coloured Manitou was abandoned at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information about the incident or the red Manitou digger to contact detectives at Newtownabbey on 0845 600 8000.
