Robbery, High Street, Lurgan

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following a robbery in the High Street area.

At approximately 6.15pm on Monday, 21 December, a cash-in-transit crew member was robbed. A male, armed with a knife, approached the delivery man and attempted to stab him before making off with a cash box. The male made off down Moor's Lane and got into a black Volkswagen Golf car.

A black Volkswagen Golf car, believed to be stolen, was found abandoned a short time later in the Shaerf Drive area.

The delivery man sustained an injury to his hand.

The male is described as being 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, aged between 20 and 30, with a thin face, stubble and crooked top teeth.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information in relation to it to contact them in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.
