Robbery, Newry

Detectives in Newry are appealing for witnesses after a 28-year-old man was robbed today (23 December) in the town.
At about 9am three males stopped the man at the steps to Barcroft Park, threatened him with a penknife and stole a sum of cash from his wallet. They then walked off, direction unknown.
They were all wearing black monkey hats, of average height and aged about 19 or 20. One was blonde and wore jeans and a black jumper. The other two had short brown hair and wore tracksuits, one a blue Adidas the other a blue Reebok. One of the tracksuits had a white stripe down the legs.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has any information about it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
