Road traffic collision, Banbridge

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a car and a cyclist on the A1 dual carriageway, southbound, at the Banbridge Road, Dromore. The collision happened shortly before 11am on Sunday 27 December and involved a black VW Golf which is understood to have struck one of two cyclists who were travelling southbound. The cyclist who was injured was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury which is not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been travelling on the A1 southbound at this time to contact Police at Banbridge 0845 600 8000.
