Vehicle hijacking, Gorfin Street, Belfast

Detectives in West Belfast are appealing for information following a vehicle hijacking in the area on Saturday 19 December.
At approximately 9:40pm, the male driver of a grey Seat Leon pulled over in the Gorfin Street area, off Cavendish Street, to take a phone call.
Two males, one armed with a handgun and the other with a hammer, approached the vehicle and demanded that the driver and his male passenger got out of the car. The culprits then got into the vehicle and made off in the direction of Springfield Road.
Detectives are investigating and are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who seees the vehicle, registration number YEZ 3979. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Antrim Road on 0845 600 8000.
