Aggravated burglary, Seymour Hill, Dunmurry

Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for witnesses after a group of males forced their way into the home of an 88-year-old man in the Seymour Hill estate, Dunmurry.

It is believed that at about 7.50pm on Wednesday evening, 3 February, six males wearing hoods and overalls pushed their way into the victim's home in the Lilac Walk area, knocked the man onto the sofa and told him they were searching for drugs.

They made off . The man was not injured but was very shaken.

A 17 year old male has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw a group of males acting suspiciously or who has any information about the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information may be given via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
