Armed Robbery, Glencolin Avenue, Belfast

Police in West Belfast are appealing for information following an incident in the Glencolin Avenue area yesterday, 10 February.

Shortly before 8pm three masked males entered a house, one of them with a firearm in his possession. The firearm was held to the head of a male present in the house and money was demanded. Rooms in the house were ransacked and the males made off with a sum of cash.

The men were all dressed in black. One wore a balaclava while the other two had scarves over their faces.

A male and female present in the house at the time were treated for shock.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident or has information relating to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
