Serious Sexual Assault, Lurgan

Detectives from the PSNI Rape Crime Unit are making an appeal following a serious sexual assault in Lurgan. A lone female was walking near a a grassy section of Pollock Drive in the Mourneview area sometime between 1am and 1.30am on Wednesday 18 February, when she was attacked. At this early stage of the enquiry, police are investigating the possibility that two males were involved. An attacker is described as wearing dark clothing, a black baseball cap, and had a dark scarf covering his mouth and nose.
Police would like anyone who was in the area of Pollock Drive between 12.30am and 1.45am on the morning of Wednesday 18 February to contact them. Witnesses can call 0845 600 8000 and ask to be put through to the Rape Crime Unit at Mahon Road, or they can call crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
